Old Town Souveniers, Gifts and Specialty Shopping
The merchants of Plaza del Pasado offer delightful wares that can’t be found anywhere but in this quaint village. The sun sparkles off handmade creations like custom jewelry and ornate glass keepsakes and colorful kaleidoscopes. Eight unique shops and three artist studios reside in this four-acre plaza — each filled with perfect gift items to bring back home, or for visitors to the area.
A special Artists’ Corner opened in January of 2008 where local artists showcase their craft with hands-on demonstrations to inspire both visitors and residents to learn more about the region’s roots in the 19th century. Miniature impressionist and realism style paintings of Southern California landscapes, glass art and handmade kaleidoscopes comprised of metals, glass and eggshells are for sale in this space.
Other specialty stores include the well-known Temecula Olive Oil Company selling products made from 100% California-grown fruit of the highest quality; Hacienda de la Rosas, a tasting room for the Ramona wine company; and of course, the traditional La Panderia selling sweets your mouth will never forget.
Oh, and don’t forget the hand-roasted and sugar-glazed nuts from Old Town Nuts. Just follow the delicious aroma to find the kiosk!
