• Joshua Sloane, an eccentric Irish immigrant of the 19th century

• Sarah Robinson, the catty town gossip

• H.F. Parsons, a dashing mid-century contractor

• Alonzo Horton, a merchant from San Francisco who is considered the father of ‘New Town’ San Diego.

• Hot tempered sheriff James McCoy, who held office from 1861 – 1871. Before he was elected Sheriff he was in a gun fight in the Jolly Boy Saloon.
